The current issue of the New Year's Yelpolutions, for the week of January 05, 2009 went out to thousands of yelpers in Los Angeles area this week. This issue is overflowing with good news for those new year resolutions.

Takbong Pangarap/Trans-USA Run 2009 is the project title of the 5,000 kilometer cross-country run across the United States of America to be attempted by Joy Rojas. Joy is the first Filipina to have run across the Philippines . Once she finishes the course starting from California and ending in New York, she will become the first Southeast Asian woman to have crossed the U.S

 05/02/2009 PALOS VERDES HALF AND FULL MARATHON

arc Club Runner Katy Busser sets a new personal record on a pretty tough half marathon course and places 2nd in her division. For those of you who haven’t ran Palos Verdes, it is famous for rolling hills and fabulous coastal scenery with 1200 ft elevation gain. Finishing time: 1:35:58 according to Garmin 205.CONGRATULATIONS!

05/21/2009 Congratulations arc Club Runners: Derek Biesheuvel for his rocking performance in the Ironman 70.3 Florida.You make training seem like breathing.  An awesome performance by Jeremy Falk in the infamous Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco. And our very own Tricia Dunn who took 2nd in her division finishing 21:35. You guys Rock!

Katy Busser sets a personal  marathon record and qualifies for Boston. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Katy finishes a solid time of 3:36:27 13^th Place Division. Months of hard work paid off. Thanks to all who supported her. Also, Congratulations Manny Lopez finishing 2:44:53 Wow!

SAL BAUTISTA  finishes in first place overall at the 2009 North Face Endurance Challenge 50 Miles June 6th, 2009 with a time of  7:13:28 Sal plans to run North Face 50 mile Madison, Wisconsin in October 24, 2009 under 7 hours. arc will all be cheering for you down here in Los Angeles Sal.

07/13/2009 BADWATER  135 MILES ULTRAMARATHON  - The Challenge of the Champions

It was said that there is hard, and then there is Badwater. The Badwater ultramarathon race is held every year, at the hottest time of the year in one of the hottest places on the planet, Death Valley. The race is literally hell on earth with contestants having to run the entire 125miles on pavement and often finding themselves having to use only the painted lines of the road as their running surface to stop their shoes form melting and feet from burning. arc Congratulates JORGE PACHECO finishes 6^th Overall 28:23:16 - MARIA LEMUS 40:56:47 and JOHN RADICH 44:02. John a former staff and close friend of arc is a veteran of several Badwater Ultramarathons.
